First newsletter 2015

Roger Decker

Dear reader,

Hello and welcome to our first newsletter of 2015. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very safe and secure new year. It seems that only recently we celebrated the 30th anniversary of Siqura. Now we are already looking forward to our next milestone. In 2016 we will mark our 35th anniversary — an achievement for any company, especially in today’s world, where adaptation to change has become a necessity.

Siqura started in 1981. That year saw the introduction of high-density video & data multiplexing CATV systems on fiber. From that first CATV solution until now, many product solutions have seen the light of day: video transmitting equipment with 10-bit video quality, video encoder platforms for rolling stock, direct-attached high-volume video storage and video analytics for intelligent perimeter protection. But one foundational premise remained the same: the dedication to deliver Sophisticated, Innovative, Quality, User-friendly, Reliable solutions for the marine, oil & gas industry, mobility and public safety.

Our mission statement hasn’t changed much from the beginning: ‘Helping the men and women watching over our safety in making error-free decisions during mission-critical situations. We believe that uncomplicated clarity in video surveillance can truly contribute to a superior response and thus to a safer society for all.’ I have the privilege to be a part of the Siqura team. But this team not only consists of the people in our offices around the world. We see you, our customer, as a key member of this team. From the beginning, one of Siqura’s goals was to create a reciprocal relationship with our customers. And today, this relationship, coupled with your support, remains vital for our development. It was your support that made each and every year possible. Thank you!

We are looking forward to servicing you again this year. Rest assured that we will do everything to deliver exceptional customer support and remarkable integrated surveillance products.
