High Quality Video Server with Embedded Analytics for Traffic Management and Incident Detection
The Siqura TrafficServer™ is an intelligent solution for Traffic applications. It offers a combination of incident detection, traffic data collection, and camera monitoring in a single temperature hardened module. With proven Traficon technology embedded, the TrafficServer™ provides realtime data and image information for optimal traffic control and accurate incident detection.
Utilizing the full power of state-of-the-art DSPs, the TrafficServer™ can simultaneously encode and stream H.264, MPEG-2,
MPEG-4, and MJPEG in real time with very low latency, providing the best image quality for every situation.
This unique combination of video and traffic management assists traffic operators in reducing traffic jams and improving road safety.
Traffic data and incident detection analytics
An Automatic Incident Detection (AID) system detects incidents and memorizes them. Video detection is a fast and reliable tool for managing traffic, controlling secondary accidents, and saving lives. A quick response to incidents prevents unnecessary traffic jams. The Traficon video detection system alerts operators to incidents so they can make assessments and initiate the proper response.

AID technology extends the operator's eyes and ears to detect abnormal traffic situations, such as:
- Stopped vehicles
- Smoke detection (in tunnels only)
- Wrong-way drivers
Service levels (five levels based on occupancy and flow speed):
- Slowed traffic
- Sudden drops in traffic speed
- Pedestrians
In addition, complementary traffic data is generated, including:
- Zone occupancy
- Flow speed
Multi-codec and multi-streaming
The versatile Siqura TrafficServer™ video detector/server is capable of streaming H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and MJPEG simultaneously. Each stream is optimized for its purpose (e.g., high-quality MPEG-2 live viewing, low-bandwidth and high-quality H.264 for storage, low-resolution MPEG-4 for streaming web applications, and MJPEG for remote devices). Each individual stream can be merged with traffic data and events generated by the detection analytics, giving the operator a comprehensive overview of the traffic situation. The power to choose between different video compression algorithms ensures openness to existing applications and future additions.
Audio, data, and I/O contacts
Combining streaming video with duplex audio, serial data, and I/O contacts over IP, the TrafficServer™ provides all the interfaces necessary for any ITS application including:
• Bidirectional audio for intercoms or for emergency phones with lip-synchronized video;
• Serial data for PTZ control of cameras or to control VMS signs;
• Alarm inputs and outputs for door contacts or PLC systems.

Fiber option
The TrafficServer™ is optionally available with a pluggable SFP slot for connections via a fiber optic cable (/SFP). A range of multimode or single-mode XSNet™ SFP devices fit the empty SFP slot.
Siqura® Open Solutions
The TrafficServer™ access-controlled web interface provides easy access to configuration, management, and live viewing. In larger systems it can be accessed in-band through TCP/IP. To integrate both video management (live viewing, retrieval of stored images, event-triggered switching) and traffic management (traffic data collection, events, incidents) in a single traffic management system, Siqura can also provide SDKs and API descriptions. TrafficServer™ multi-codec video servers are part of Siqura, a complete offering of video surveillance equipment and solutions. Siqura offers video codec/servers, IP cameras, video management, network storage, and configuration software.
